Today is my favorite person’s birthday so I figured I would finally share all the details from our wedding last fall! We got engaged 2 years ago almost to the day - and we were so excited to plan our wedding. We were very set on having a fall wedding from the beginning because it is our favorite season. So, we decided we should try October of 2020. Little did we know, a pandemic was about to shock the entire world.

Planning a wedding during a global pandemic is not easy. And definitely the least of everyones worries was ‘what color flowers should I get for my bouquet?’ but every detail matters with timing + prepping… aka tons of stress. We went back and forth on what we wanted to do. We weren’t even sure if we could get married at one point because of all of the shut downs. We almost eloped at one point - just wanted to run away from the looming deadlines + formal items you have to go through when planning.

But when thinking about our day we didn't want to have any regrets, we wanted our closest family and best friends around us. So we decided to go forward with our set day, October 10th, 2020, and have a very small wedding. October 10th is Connor’s mom’s birthday and we wanted to honor her that way since she couldn’t be with us. We know she was watching over us and was so proud of him.

At the end of the day on top of all of the stress and craziness of wedding planning, it all worked out. It ended up being the most amazing day - the weather was perfect, the leaves had changed but hadn’t fallen yet, and we had our favorite people around us.

We were able to pull off paying for our own wedding which was definitely not easy. Plus, we had some help from close family + friends which we can’t thank enough for! I’m so excited to finally share some of our wedding photos because it was such an amazing day!
