10 Amazon Home Items I Love

  1. Amazon Echo Show: I recently got this for Christmas from my mom. I had read a lot about it and wanted to incorporate it into the kitchen for on demand recipes, shows + music while cooking! This little thing is a game changer. Connor and I also love to have people over and it plays music that can get really loud so it’s perfect for parties, too! It is super easy to sink to your Amazon Echo app and there are tons of features you can use, especially if you have Prime! I love that I can make eggs + coffee in the morning and tell Alexa to play a “morning playlist” or watch the news. You can shop the Echo Show here. You can also shop all of the products at the bottom of this post.

  2. The Home Edit Book: This book is a must if you are wanting to get your life organized. It’s about giving every single space function while also having the ability to look great. Since moving into the duplex, which has basically been a construction zone for months, this book is a life saver. If Pinterest and the Container Store had a baby - it would be this book. I also recently followed The Home Edit on instagram and it is basically just full of inspiration. The book guides you through each room and how you can take the steps to de-clutter your home. It shows you different organization options to help you live a much more convenient and stress free life! I have linked it here.

  3. Cuisinart Knife Set: I bought this set for Connor for Christmas and I never thought I would see the day that I would be so excited over something like this, but here we are. I guess that means I’m an adult now. We were using regular knives to cut vegetables and prepare dinner (which is so freaking hard) so it was finally time to get our own set. I love this set because it doesn’t break the bank + it’s aesthetically pleasing/looks cute on our counter. It has mixed reviews on Amazon so I was a bit nervous but we have been using the knives for 2 months now and love them. No complaints! You can purchase the set here.

  4. Sound Machine: My tried and true! This thing is my actual favorite thing ever. Connor could really care less but I need some type of white noise when I am sleeping and it is amazing. Also, it’s not an eye sore for the bedroom…so that’s a plus! It’s about the size of your palm and is travel friendly too. I’ve had it over a year now and one of my favorite purchases to date. The Skinny Confidential also was raving about this on her blog not too long ago. I linked the post here if you need further persuasion to buy this little machine. It has 6 different soothing sounds: white noise, rain, ocean, fan, summer night + stream. My favorites are the white noise + ocean. I linked the sound machine here.

  5. Drawer Organizing Cubes: I bought these right after reading The Home Edit organization book that I talked about above. Our bedroom + closet is still a work in progress but these cubes make my day much more convenient. I currently have 1 set and I have them in the top drawer of my night stand. When things are organized by cubes rather than just thrown into one big basket (like I previously had) you no longer have to dig to find things aka doesn’t stress me out. The nightstands we bought are actually huge. They are technically dressers but we use them as makeshift nightstands since our room isn’t big (as well as our closet) and we need to maximize space. You can get the cubes here.

  6. Duvet Cover: Not going to lie - I was on the fence about buying this duvet cover. Connor and I are picky about our duvet cover because we want it to have a certain look but also feel soft. After I took it out of the package I was freaking out. This thing feels like a luxury cover. It is so soft and almost looks like linen when it’s on your bed. I couldn’t believe the price for it. I even received messages from people saying that it’s also their favorite duvet cover! Never going back after buying this! We bought the King Size White Duvet Cover.

  7. Amazon Echo Dot: This is the exact same as our Echo Show! The Echo Dot is just a smaller scale and has no screen. It is small but mighty! What I love about it is that we placed it in our living room and you can connect both the Echo Show + the Echo Dot to stream music at the same time - essentially creating surround sound for music! It is also a cheaper option if you want a speaker but don’t want to buy the Echo Show. I linked it here.

  8. Air Purifier: Like I said before, our house has kind of been a construction zone. Dust & who knows what else was all in the air and we couldn’t be in our house for more than 5 minutes without sneezing. I found this trusty purifier and it is also an Amazon best seller! could tell after a couple days that it was really working. I usually turn it on once I get home from work + leave it running all through the night, then I’ll turn it off before I leave for work - repeat. You can purchase it here.

  9. Rotating Organizer: Perfect for sticking under the sink or if you have enough room in your cabinet! Makes it super easy to grab your products rather than digging through a basket of cluttered stuff. The different level heights also makes it easy to fit different sized beauty products! You can purchase the Rotating Adjustable Cosmetic Storage Display Case here.

  10. Cord Cover Concealer Kit: Now say that 5 times fast haha! These are SO good! Especially for a ton of the people that I know that are either renting & still want to have an aesthetically pleasing media console. Or, if you’re like me, you don’t want to do the work of drilling holes + snaking the cords through the back of the wall. You can get the cord cover kit here.
